Before visiting us, you must call us to make an appointment. After confirming your appointment, please follow the driving directions to the front gate of the ranch.

Mountaintop Ranch is only open to visitors on Tues- Sat 9 AM-5 PM  (appointments can be made on Sun and Mon but you must contact the ranch manager ....the front gate is locked unless a prior appointment has been confirmed)

DIRECTIONS TO MOUNTAINTOP RANCH

We love to have visitors at the ranch to see our beautiful horses. All visitors MUST make an appointment either by phone or e-mail. The ranch is closed to the public on Sundays and Mondays. Special appointments can be arranged for visits on Sundays or Mondays by the ranch manager if circumstances warrant. Regular Business hours are 9AM-5PM Tuesdays through Saturdays. The gate to Mountaintop Ranch is locked at all other times. REMEMBER - We would love to have you come visit us but BY APPOINTMENT ONLY!

Mountaintop Ranch is located in the Shenandoah Valley just off of 340 between the small towns of Elkton and Shenandoah, Virginia.

We are located:
17 miles EAST of I-81 at Harrisonburg, VA.(coming to Elkton on 33 east) about 25 miles West of 211 intersecting with 33 at Ruckersville, VA ( south of Culpeper and north of Charlottesville) coming to Elkton on 33 west

one hour due West of I 64 at Zions Crossroads( where I-64 and 15 intersect) which is one exit before the first Charlottesville exit...15 intersects with 33 west at Gordonsville and follow 33 west to Elkton

one hour from I-66 exit at Linden....going to Front Royal and intersecting with 340 south ...following it to Shenandoah

Please google the best route for you to either Shenandoah or Elkton and then follow our instructions to the Ranch.

*Please do not follow the google instructions once you get to either Shenandoah or Elkton because they will take you to the wrong location.

Mountaintop Ranch is located off of 340 North coming from Elkton. Go through the town of Elkton and then continue on for 4 miles until you see State Road 609 or Naked Creek Road ( it is only a right hand turn...if you go past a moose lodge you have gone too far)

From Shenandoah...go through the town of Shenandoah on 340 South for 2 miles....look for State Road 609 or Naked Creek which is only a left hand turn just after you pass the Moose Lodge on your left.

Turn on Naked Creek Rd. and stay on it for a little over 6 miles (Naked Creek Rd. becomes Jollett Rd. as you change counties). A little past 6 miles you will come to a one lane bridge; go over the bridge and remain straight (do not take the right hand fork). If you keep straight you should be on Weaver Rd. Continue on Weaver Rd. for 1/2 mile and you will see a sign that reads EQUINE CENTER and a low water crossing bridge on the right. Cross over the bridge and enter the ranch traveling on a mountain gravel road for 1/2 mile and you will see our training barn on the right. My office is in the front of the barn.
